Two Metas Enter; One Meta Leaves – Ep 5

This episode, Jason and Philip are joined by Jonathan Stringfield, VP of Global Business Research and Marketing at Activision Blizzard and author of the insightful and genuinely helpful “Get in the Game: How to Level Up your Business with Gaming, Esports and Emerging Technologies.” They discuss a bevy of topics including how gaming has traditionally been used to bring along new audiences to new tech, how the metaverse shouldn’t be confused with VR and and why the current iteration of the metaverse still isn’t quite ready for primetime. If the editor didn’t cut it out, they also reminisce about outdated gaming consoles and peripherals because they’re just at that age now, I guess.
